1. About This Copyright Policy
Syzymuse respects the intellectual property rights of creators, rights holders, and other third parties and expects its users to do the same.
This Copyright Policy explains how [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], a company registered in the United Kingdom under company number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], with its registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), handles copyright concerns relating to Syzymuse, available at syzymuse.com.
The Policy applies to content submitted, generated, stored, or published through Syzymuse, including reference materials, Inputs, Outputs, and Community Creations.
It should be read together with our Creator Terms, Creator Privacy, and Studio Syzes Policy.
2. Respect for Third-Party Rights
You must not use Syzymuse to knowingly infringe another person's copyright or other intellectual property rights.
When submitting prompts, reference images, reference videos, reference audio, or other materials, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, licences, permissions, or other lawful basis necessary to use those materials.
You must not use Syzymuse to reproduce, transform, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit third-party copyrighted material where your use is not authorised or otherwise legally permitted.
The fact that content can technically be uploaded to or generated through Syzymuse does not mean that we have approved or cleared that content for copyright purposes.
3. Responsibility for Generated Content
Artificial intelligence may generate Outputs containing elements that resemble existing works, styles, compositions, characters, designs, or other creative material.
Syzymuse does not guarantee that every Output:
-
is unique;
-
qualifies for copyright protection;
-
is free from third-party rights;
-
can be registered as intellectual property; or
-
is suitable for unrestricted commercial use.
Before publishing, licensing, selling, distributing, or otherwise commercially using an Output, you are responsible for considering whether your intended use requires additional permissions or legal clearance.
General similarity in an idea, concept, genre, mood, technique, or artistic style does not by itself establish that copyright infringement has occurred.
4. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content available through Syzymuse infringes copyright that you own or are authorised to enforce, you may submit a copyright complaint to:
Your notice should include enough information for us to understand and investigate the claim.
Please provide:
-
your full legal name and contact information;
-
identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed;
-
information showing that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act for the owner;
-
identification of the Syzymuse content you believe infringes the work;
-
a URL, Community Creation link, content reference, screenshot, or other information reasonably sufficient for us to locate the relevant content;
-
a short explanation of why you believe the content infringes your rights;
-
a statement that the information you provide is accurate and that you have a good-faith basis for submitting the complaint; and
-
your electronic or physical signature.
Where multiple works or multiple pieces of Syzymuse content are involved, please identify them as clearly as reasonably possible.
5. Reviewing Copyright Complaints
After receiving a sufficiently complete copyright complaint, we may:
-
review the information provided;
-
locate the reported content;
-
request additional information or evidence;
-
temporarily restrict access to the content;
-
remove content from Community Creations;
-
disable or restrict particular content;
-
contact the affected user;
-
preserve relevant records; or
-
take other reasonable action.
We will consider the circumstances of each complaint individually.
Submitting a copyright complaint does not guarantee that content will be removed.
Likewise, removal or restriction of content does not constitute a judicial determination that copyright infringement has occurred.
6. Responding to a Copyright Complaint
Where appropriate, we may inform the affected user that their content has been restricted or removed following a copyright complaint.
If you believe that your content was removed or restricted because of a mistake, misidentification, licence, permission, or another lawful basis, you may contact:
Your response should include:
-
your full name and Account email;
-
identification of the affected content;
-
an explanation of why you believe the restriction was incorrect;
-
any relevant licence, permission, ownership information, or supporting evidence; and
-
your confirmation that the information provided is accurate.
We may share relevant information from your response with the original complainant where reasonably necessary to evaluate or resolve the dispute.
We may restore content where we conclude that restoration is appropriate, but submission of a response does not guarantee restoration.
7. Community Creations
Outputs voluntarily published through Community Creations may be reviewed and restricted following a credible copyright complaint.
If we remove a Community Creation, the user must not intentionally republish the same content for the purpose of avoiding the restriction.
Repeated attempts to republish restricted material may result in additional Account action.
Publication to Community Creations does not mean that Syzymuse has independently verified ownership or copyright clearance of the content.
8. Reference Materials and Private Content
Calling an uploaded file a “reference” does not remove copyright restrictions that may apply to it.
Reference images, video, audio, and other Inputs remain subject to applicable copyright law and the Creator Terms.
Content stored privately in a Library is not ordinarily publicly accessible merely because it exists on Syzymuse.
However, where we receive a sufficiently specific and credible complaint, valid legal request, or otherwise become aware of serious infringement involving identifiable content, we may investigate and take reasonable action in accordance with applicable law and the Creator Terms.
9. Repeat Copyright Violations
Accounts repeatedly involved in credible or confirmed copyright violations may be subject to enforcement.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
-
issue a warning;
-
remove or restrict content;
-
restrict publication to Community Creations;
-
restrict certain Creator Studio functionality;
-
temporarily suspend an Account; or
-
permanently terminate an Account.
We do not use a fixed number of complaints as an automatic rule.
We may consider the seriousness, frequency, credibility, and circumstances of copyright complaints and the user's previous conduct.
Serious or deliberate infringement may result in stronger action without prior warning.
10. False or Abusive Copyright Complaints
You must not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive copyright complaints.
You must not claim to own or control rights that you do not own or have authority to enforce.
We may refuse to process repeated complaints that are clearly abusive, unsupported, fraudulent, or submitted primarily to harass another user.
Misuse of the copyright reporting process may result in restrictions on future reports and, where the complainant is a Syzymuse user, enforcement under the Creator Terms.
11. Other Intellectual Property and Personal Rights
This Copyright Policy is primarily intended for copyright complaints.
A complaint involving only:
-
trademarks;
-
privacy;
-
publicity or personality rights;
-
impersonation;
-
defamation;
-
harassment; or
-
another non-copyright issue
may be handled separately under the Creator Terms or another appropriate process.
For these matters, contact:
If a complaint involves both copyright and another protected right, we may review the issues together where appropriate.
12. Legal Requests and Disputes
Syzymuse is not a court and does not act as a private tribunal for complex disputes concerning copyright ownership, authorship, licensing, or entitlement.
Where a dispute cannot reasonably be resolved through our reporting process, the parties may need to resolve it directly, through their legal representatives, or before an appropriate court or authority.
We may comply with valid court orders and other binding legal requirements concerning content or Account information.
We may also preserve relevant information where reasonably necessary for an ongoing dispute, legal claim, or investigation.
13. Syzes Used for Restricted Content
Removal or restriction of an Output because it violates copyright rules does not automatically entitle the user to restoration or refund of the Syzes used to generate it.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their Inputs and use of Outputs comply with the Creator Terms.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Payment and Syzes matters are otherwise governed by the Studio Syzes Policy.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Copyright Policy to reflect changes to:
-
Syzymuse functionality;
-
Community Creations;
-
copyright reporting procedures;
-
applicable law;
-
Platform enforcement processes; or
-
other legitimate operational requirements.
The current version will display the applicable Last Updated date.
Where appropriate, material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or another reasonable method.
